Power restored to all affected areas
SKELEC wishes to advise that earlier today it became necessary to engage in a load shedding exercise due to reduced capacity at our Needsmust Power Plant. Our teams at the Power Plant and in the Transmission and Distribution Division worked assiduously to repair faults and increase generation capacity. Power has been restored to all affected areas. Consumers who remain without power should call 465-2013.
While no further load shedding outages are expected for the remainder for the night consumers are asked to pay attention to the company’s social media pages for all updates and notices.
