SKELEC Co-Hosted Successful HRCCCS Conference in St. Kitts

Basseterre, St. Kitts (March 28th, 2025) — The St. Kitts Electricity Company Limited (SKELEC), in partnership with the Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation (CARILEC), successfully co-hosted the 2025 Human Resource, Corporate Communications & Customer Service (HRCCCS) Conference from March 23rd – 26th, 2025, at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort. This marked the largest conference of this nature to date, bringing together over 110 senior professionals from across the region, representing 23 CARILEC member countries and electric energy providers.
Held under the theme “Beyond Compliance: Creating a Culture of Caring, Communication, and Commitment,” the conference offered expert-led panel discussions, interactive presentations, and networking sessions, all designed to enhance best practices in Human Resources, Corporate Communications, and Customer Service.
The HRCCCS began with an opening ceremony on Sunday, March 23rd, and featured a keynote address by Mr. Timothy Antoine, Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB). In his address, Governor Antoine emphasized the transformative power of leadership and spoke of the bank’s leadership model: ACEE (Agility, Clarity, Energy, Empathy), which highlights the importance of moving beyond mere compliance to genuinely nurturing and supporting team members. “As leaders, we are entrusted with creating environments where people feel valued, empowered, and supported,” he said.

Mr. Clement Williams, General Manager of SKELEC, commenting on the conclusion of the HRCCCS conference, stated that the past four days were truly insightful and successful. “We engaged in thought-provoking discussions, interactive sessions, and strategic dialogues that challenged us to think beyond the traditional frameworks and be catalysts for real change—where compliance is not our ceiling but our foundation,” Williams said.
