Update on Restoration to Customers Affected by Electrical Fire at St. Christopher Club Substation
As at 10pm last evening (Thursday 25th October) SKELEC was able to repair and replace cables, transformer, and meters damaged in the recent electrical fire on October 24th. To this end, SKELEC ultimately returned supply to our substation, St. Christopher Club Gardens, Rock Lobster Restaurant, St. Christopher Club Condominiums, and surrounding security lighting. Unfortunately, power will be restored to customers in Building 1 at a later time once the necessary verifications and repairs to electrical infrastructure is complete.
SKELEC remains in dialogue with the Home Owners Association of the St. Christopher Club Condominiums and understands the inconveniences which may be caused by extended outages and wishes to thank the customers who were affected by the outage for their patience. SKELEC also wishes to thank the dedicated members of our hard working crews who worked extended hours to ensure the safe restoration of supply to the affected areas.
